How does the UV-C purification technology work?

UV-C purification works by targeting the DNA and RNA of harmful microbes, rendering them completely inactive.

When exposed to UV-C light, the genetic material of microorganisms absorbs the energy and forms abnormal bonds (called dimers) within their DNA and RNA strands. These dimers disrupt the natural process of genetic transcription, meaning the microorganism can no longer replicate or spread.

Without the ability to reproduce, bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens are effectively neutralized — leaving your water safe, clean, and ready to drink.
